3b. The Great Gatsby

I enjoyed the Great Gatsby a lot because the novel seems interesting. I like the way the author talks a lot about Gatsby before presenting him to us. I couldn't put the book down after i started reading. The main character seems a little boring. He is from the middle class but had lots of friends in the upper class. He doesnt talk a lot about his personality. His life seems boring compared to the others. The most interesting character so far is the great Gatsby. The parties he throws seem wild and fun. Its weird to imagine that at that time parties exsisted! :)
what i liked about reading the Great Gatspy is that you live another life, one with drama, parties, love, and more. People cannot stick to commitment, cannot remain with the same thing not including their routine of partying. The characters in the book are obsessed with wealth and having their fun.
Throughtout the novel i have not been dissapointed to be surprised. I predict that at the end of the novel surely the drama will exceed. Natrually between Gatspy and the fair maiden Daisy.

3a The Roaring 20's

The roaring twenties was a period full of change and improvement. From war ending to night outs, life for those during the 1920's was transforming. Women began to have more freedom, the ability to do things they could not do before; such as working for jobs that were created for men, being able to dress freely and seen as more then just a mans wife. Looks to them were very important as well, they also lived for their social life, girl time, parties and much more.
Music's popularity was increasing by then, it became well known and enjoyed by a varity of people. Jazz was enjoyed by many aswell as many other types of music. People or couples to be exact began going out to nightclubs, jazz bars etc for a good time.
Econmoy began to change just as much as the people. Businesses were picking up. Shops were getting more business and one of the most popular and wanted new materials created and sold then was the washing machine.

Peoples image of the twenties mainly is of the way they dressed. When one thinks of the 1920's they think about corsets, suits, hats and more. All in all that time was one of peace, love, change, poshness, and the beginning of a better education and life.
